Aboriginal Community Planning, Development and Management



Community planning, development and management work involves:

  • identification of issues adversely affecting a community (may involve a formal review);

  • identification of strategies to resolve issues;

  • identification of priorities for the community;

  • development of a written plan including detailed strategies and time lines to achieve priorities;

  • working with the communities to implement the plans;

  • liaison with resource providers and other key players;

  • developing the skills of community members in management tasks such as running meetings, taking minutes, organising the community office, doing books, employing staff and meeting legal obligations.

Organisation Reviews and Evaluations



Organisation reviews and evaluations involve a comprehensive assessment of the operations of an organisation including:

  • management structure;

  • staffing structure;

  • the constitution;

  • financial management;

  • staff terms and conditions of employment;

  • service delivery;

  • client involvement;

  • extent to which service standards are met, if appropriate;

  • extent to which funding body requirements are met;

  • extent to which staffing and other legal responsibilities are met.

Implementation of Aged Care Management Systems



Gevers Goddard Jones has developed a comprehensive management system for Residential Aged Care Services.  The system facilitates compliance with the Aged Care Standards and includes policy and procedures for all areas of service operation, a Feedback and Reporting System, a training management system, a maintenance management system, care planning guidelines, audit tools, and a Key Performance Indicators system.

Services who purchase the system can implement it themselves or they can contract Gevers Goddard Jones to implement it.
